WATER TREATMENT

Recycling water from swimming pool facilities TecPOOL™

Photon Water TecPOOL™ technology allows up to 80% of wastewater generated in swimming pools to be restored. The process, which uses double membrane filtration, ensures top water quality, safety, long-term sustainability of recycling, and full compliance with legislative requirements.

TecPool™ - Cost-effective and Efficient Solution for Public Pools and Aquaparks

Water is a valuable resource, yet often used inefficiently. That’s why we developed the TecPOOL™ system to significantly improve water management in public pools. It’s based on advanced membrane filtration technologies, experience with water recycling, and the requirements of strict DIN 19645.

The system uses two-stage membrane filtration with multi-level pretreatment, reliably removing microbial contamination, viruses, organic and nitrogen compounds, reducing conductivity and water hardness. The treated water meets the standards of CZ Regulations 238/2011 Coll. and 252/2004 Coll., and is suitable as fill water.

About TecPOOL™ Technology

The wash water from the pool sand filtration system is fed through an automatic three-way valve into a storage tank for water intended for recycling. A fully automatic disc filter (ADF) and a granular activated carbon filter with automatic regeneration (GAC) are used for water pre-treatment. From there, the water is pressurized to the primary membrane unit – ultrafiltration. This is equipped with a module with a hydrophilic membrane of the multi-channel hollow fiber type.

The membrane module is operated in an "inside-out" configuration, where raw water is fed into the fibers and filtered water passes from the fibers into the space between the fibers. After passing through ultrafiltration, the water is fed into a technological storage tank, from where, after safety sterilization with a UV lamp and treatment with antiscalant, it is pumped to the secondary membrane stage – reverse osmosis or nanofiltration, operating on the principle of "crossflow filtration". The water is then treated with a NaOH solution to the appropriate pH as required by the operator and treated with a NaClO solution. The water is then fed through a water meter into the existing pool balancing tank as fill water.

OUR SOLUTIONS

How it Works

The technology reliably removes all microbial contamination and viruses from water, radically reduces conductivity, organic (TOC, CODMn) and nitrogenous substances and overall water hardness. The outlet water thus meets the requirements of Decree 238/2011 Coll. and the relevant requirements of Decree 252/2004 Coll. and can be used as filling water.

1. Beginning of the Process

Washing water from the pool sand filtration is led through an automatic three-way valve to the storage tank of water intended for recycling.

2. Multi-step water treatment

We perform multiple steps of water treatment, which makes filters last for 3-5 years.

3. Ultrafiltration

Water is pressurized to the primary membrane unit, where it is filtered.

3. Sterilization

Water undergoes sterilization (UV lamp) and is treated with an antiscalant.

4. Second Filtration

Water is pumped to a secondary membrane stage – reverse osmosis or nanofiltration

5. PH Treatment

6. Water is ready to be filled
