On September 29 and 30, 2025, an international meeting of the LIFE4ZOO project took place in Liberec, attended by partners from Czechia, Spain, and England. The aim of the meeting was to share experiences and strengthen cooperation in the search for sustainable solutions in water management in zoos and similar institutions.

The program also included an open online workshop focused on sharing experiences with water management in zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens. The workshop was attended by members of the LIFE4ZOO Forum, which brings together representatives of these institutions from around the world.

The workshop featured presentations by experts from among breeders, water area managers, technologists, and specialists in water recycling and nature-based solutions, who presented specific examples of good practice from various European countries.

On Tuesday, September 30, the meeting participants visited the Liberec Zoo, where they viewed the Watersave+ recycling system, built as part of the LIFE4ZOO project designed by Photon Water.

This system is used to purify and reuse water from exhibits and tanks and contributes significantly to water savings and environmental protection. The meeting also included the release of a video presenting the Watersave+ system in practice.
